EGADS! What happened to my desk?

So my desk area has become the catch all for mail, school papers, jewelry making supplies and other misc papers. Everything has taken over to the point there's not a clear surface to be had.

I've taken before pics of it, and will try to take after pics when I finish it. I forgot after pics of my house but will try to get the desk pics up.

New year new me!

The new year has come and gone and I've been doing alot of thinking.... it's time for a new outlook on life. I've decided I need to get my house in order, I need to lose weight, I need to quit smoking and I need to get back on track with school. I know those are all things everyone has said before but this year is my year. I'm sick of being fat, I'm sick of the CHAOS in my house, I'm sick of smoking, and I want to have a college degree.

So I was telling my grandma about my new plan and she told me I needed to schedule my day. My therapist said the same thing. So last week I sat down and planned out my entire day. Making time for cleaning, exercise, family time, school work and even a couple hours for making jewelry. Monday I start my new schedule. My husband is going out of town for the month of January and I'll have plenty of time to get the schedule in place while he is gone.

I've taken pictures of my house in it's current state, trashed. And when I finish cleaning today I'll post after pictures.

I've been called out....

Ok so I haven't posted to the blog yet this PCCX, but there was no reason to call me out. I've been working on keeping up with the house work, homeschooling my son in preschool and trying to finish up my college classes.

I've done some PCCX, I moved the furniture and detail vacuumed the carpet, I need to shampoo it but have to borrow my friend's carpet cleaner first. I washed the living room window and cleaned the tracks. I polished all the tables and the entertainment center, including the electronics. I haven't done any of the holiday tasks except printing out lists. I still need to clean the furniture and organize my books and DVDs. Then the living room will be done. Then it's on to the dining room and front porch.

No pics this time around, I don't feel like taking them. Maybe I'll do afters when its all done.

It's that time of year again. Time for another pccx. The last one didn't go so well. I didn't do nearly as much as I wanted to. This one has got to be better. I'm moving in 6 months.....holy crap. I've got to get my house organized and ready for packers to come in and get it all packed up. I'm so not ready.

I've got a plan, and hopefully I can stick to it.

I've mapped out my days, I'll spend 3-4 hrs a day on general upkeep of the house, 2-3 hrs a day on school work, 2-3 hrs a day on pccx and getting the house organized, at least one hour a day doing something I enjoy that is relaxing, at least one hour with my kids playing with them, work up to 1 hour of exercise everyday. I'm starting the Atkins diet this month....that will take a little time to get into the swing of things. I've figured that's 15 hrs of work stuff a day. That leaves 9 hours for sleep and extra stuff. HOLY CRAP I don't know if I can do it.

Yes I can.....Just stick to the plan it's not that bad. That's all for now, will check in soon.

PCCX Goals

I haven't gotten much done with PCCX, I've painted a couple walls to clean them up a bit, I've dusted my bedroom completely.....That's really not much. I'm ashamed at the state of my house right now.

Yesterday was the halfway mark, I did get the main areas of my house picked up finally. Today is the day I hit up the kids' bedrooms. I need to go through toys and get rid of about half of them. I'd also like to get in the closets and clean them up a bit. We'll see how today goes. I've been up since 3:30. Will hopefully update later with pics.

PCCX gone wrong

The past two weeks have been a bust for me. I've been lucky to keep up with dishes and laundry and cleaning up after the monsters. Between surgery 2 weeks ago, kids and hubby getting sick then I got sick I haven't done ANYTHING. Monday is a new day. I'll hopefully get my info so I can start my school work. I'd like to spend a few hours a day on that, and a few hours a day on PCCX. We'll see how it goes.

I've been slacking big time on pccx. I decided that I am not going to wash walls, I'm going to repaint them instead. I can get the paint free and it'll take less time than washing to just touch up some dirty spots. So I can cross that off the list.

I had surgery yesterday for a cyst removal. I should be taking it easy but I feel good and need to get stuff done around the house. I'm not doing any heavy duty cleaning but I can at least do the little things on th pccx list. I've decided my next area to work on is my "office." Meaning my desk area. It's a mess around this area and I need it clean for a clear work space.

Busy busy busy....

I've been busy the past couple days. My husband came home after 9 days of being gone so I spent time with him and fell off the PCCX wagon. I climbed back on the wagon last night. I finished wiping down the flat surfaces and started going through my jewelry boxes. I have far too much jewelry. I got through 2 boxes completely only keeping sentimental pieces and stuff I wear. I still have one box to get through and some odds and ends around the house to put away. Once I'm done with that I need to scrub the floor and moldings and see about spot washing walls. I'm hoping to move VERY soon and they are going to repaint anyways.

I also need to get my husband into move some stuff around so that we can fit the dog's kennel in the bedroom. I'm sick and tired of waking up to find she's gone to the bathroom in my house again.

I really hope to finish my bedroom today.

The day before....

It's the day before pccx starts and I'm not sure where to begin. I think I might start with the bedrooms since they'll be the easiest. Easiest to get done and easiest to maintain. I need to go through my children's toys. They have far far too many of them. I also need to take the carpets out of the rooms and wash them. I'd like to get that done before it gets too cold outside. Living in MO you never know when it will get cold.

Dungeon.....I've put some thought into this. Since I don't have alot of extra stuff laying around I need to get my filing cabinet in order. It's a mess. Too many papers and not enough space for them. I've also decided that my husband will have his own dungeon. All his Army crap needs to be gone through and organized. He's taken over our entire bedroom. So there we go.....I have two dungeons to get done. I don't do points because I just can't get the hang of it. But both these areas need to be cleaned up and organized.

Celeste's Intro

My name is Celeste and I'm a stay at home mom of 2 preschoolers, and an Army wife. I try not to keep my house too cluttered cause I have to move everything with me every 3 years or so.

I'm brand-spankin'-new to blogging. This is my very first post. Hopefully I can keep up with it. I'm the youngest member of the group and enjoy my time with them. They've become some of my best friends. awwwww.....

So I've never attempted a pccx but I figure WTH might as well give it a shot. I don't know what our holiday plans are this year but if we go out of town I'll come home to a sparkely clean house.
